To establish a strong and respectful connection with Allah Almighty, there are certain rights and etiquettes we should embrace. These not only strengthen our faith but also guide us on the path of being true believers.
1. Worship Only Allah: We must dedicate our worship solely to Allah and refrain from worshipping anyone or anything else.
2. Respect Allah’s Majesty: Always keep in mind the greatness and majesty of Allah and honor His name with reverence.
3. Fear Allah: The fear of Allah keeps us away from sins and helps us stay on the right path.
4. Engage in Obedience to Allah: We should remain busy in the obedience of Allah and live according to His commands, avoiding disobedience.
5. Express Humility and Need before Allah: Always present yourself humbly and acknowledge your dependence on Allah, as He is our ultimate helper.
6. Trust Only in Allah: Place complete trust in Allah in all circumstances and believe that He is the best decision-maker.
7. Think Positively of Allah: Always have good thoughts about Allah, trusting that He wills what is best for us.
8. Feel Modesty before Allah: Avoid actions that would bring shame if done in Allah’s presence, as we would in the presence of people. Anything we would hesitate to do before others, we should especially avoid out of modesty before Allah.
9. Remember Allah Abundantly: Remembrance of Allah brings peace to the heart, so we should make it a habit to remember Him frequently.
10. Yearn to Meet Allah: In our hearts, we should hold a longing to meet Allah and desire closeness to Him in Jannah.
11. Love Allah and His Messenger ﷺ above All: Our love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ should be greater than our love for anything else.
12. Make Shariah the Judge in Our Affairs: We should accept Shariah as the guiding authority in all our matters and make decisions in accordance with it.
13. Believe in the Ease of the Deen of Muhammad ﷺ: Understand that the religion of Islam is easy and that it does not bring hardship; we simply need to follow it sincerely.
May Allah grant us the ability to implement these rights and etiquettes in our lives and draw us closer to Him. Ameen.
